We work with specialist furniture delivery partners across Australia to ensure that your order arrives safely and in excellent condition. Below, you’ll find important information on our dispatch process, delivery times, and lead times for pre-order items.
Delivery Times
Once your order is dispatched, you will be notified by email of dispatch, and be contacted shortly thereafter via email and phone.
Delivery times are a guide, and may be slightly shorter or longer depending on item size and any unforeseen delivery delays.
Metro Melbourne- 3-5 Business Days
Metro Sydney- 5-8 Business Days
Metro Canberra - 7-10 Business Days
Metro Brisbane - 7-10 Business Days
Metro Adelaide – 7-10 business days
Metro Perth – 12-16 business days
Mornington Peninsula, Bellarine Peninsula, Ballarat, Bendigo Region - 7-10 Business Days
All other areas – between 14-20 business days
Understanding Pre-Order & Lead Times
Many of our products, including some of our bestsellers, are available for pre-order due to high demand.
• If an item is in stock, it will be dispatched within 2 business days and delivered according to the estimated timeframes above.
• If an item is a pre-order, the estimated arrival date will be displayed below the “Add to Cart” button on our product pages. This date refers to when the stock will arrive at our warehouse, not when it will be delivered.
Once pre-order stock arrives at our warehouse, we will process and dispatch your order as soon as possible. Please factor in both the pre-order lead time and the standard delivery timeframe when placing your order.
Sustainable Shipping Practices
To minimize our environmental impact, we typically ship orders once all items in your order are available. If you have a mix of in-stock and pre-order items, your order will be dispatched when the pre-order item arrives.

Delivery FAQs
How much is the shipping cost
Shipping cost vary based on the item weight, dimension, and your post code. To check the shipping fee, simply enter your post code on the product cart or delivery page. It provides information if we deliver in that area, and the shipping cost.
Can I split my delivery?
Yes you can. By default, we ship an order when all items are ready to reduce environmental impact and pass on cheaper delivery costs to you.
We can split dispatch on an order, however it may also come with an associated cost. You can leave us an online message, and we will arrange the dispatch time according to your request.
Standard Delivery
Our standard service is to your ground floor, front door only. You may need to assist the driver with heavy items. Delivery Monday to Friday during business hours only. Excludes public holidays. If you are not home, the driver will leave the item in a safe place. Does not include delivery up stairs or elevators, placement of item in home, assembly or rubbish removal.
Pre-Order
We will do our best to ship Pre-Order Products in accordance to their expected ship date. If this changes, we'll do our best to let you know. We recommend that you keep your shipping and contact information up-to-date to ensure proper shipment of any Pre-Order Products. If you need to update any of this information, please email us at info@portasofa.com.au.
Note that when items arrive earlier than the set pre order dispatch date, we will dispatch the orders right away and notify you with the tracking numbers. If you are not available to receive your orders earlier than schedule, please add your instructions upon purchase.
How can i change my delivery address?
We process and dispatch the orders within 24 hours. If you need to change or correct the delivery address, request must be received before 7am (AEST) prior to dispatch from the warehouse. If in case the order has already left the warehouse, we will charge a redirection fee and cost may vary depending on the new location. If you need to change your delivery information, please contact our team at info@portasofa.com.au
Will I be notified about when my order is coming?
You'll receive a dispatch email once your order has left our warehouse, and also communication from our delivery partner directly to arrange a suitable delivery date.
Some delivery partners may have tracking available, however others may not, as we utilise specialist furniture freighters who offer a more custom service.
